It was my great privilege to work with Sam, Don and Frank calling on customers when I retired from The Savannah Bank. We had a lot of fun, and hopefully were of benefit to the Bank. I loved hearing Sam share all of his memories. I remember the Habersham Street gate to the Anderson Street School where his mother let him off on his first day of school. I think of him every time I ride by. His knowledge of Savannah, its people and its history were amazing. On top of everything else, he was just plain funny! He was a great friend of mine, and I shall miss him. May God rest your soul Sam.
